Seminar on Community Health workers & Paramedics

A seminar was organised to aware the people of state of Bihar about the Importance of ParaMedical sciences. It was attended by the students and parents from all the districts of Bihar and many rural areas as well. The seminar war inaugurated by Mr Sanjay Kumar - Principal Secretory ( Health Dept) and all the leading Doctors and Surgeons of the City alongwith Chairman & Director - NIOS, MHRD, Govt of India presented their point of View. PARAMEDICAL SERVICES are those services where professionals help the doctors in specialized areas and facilities for better diagnosis, treatment and therapy. The increasing demand of skilled para-medical professionals has opened up several career opportunities for young aspirants in India as well as abroad. Without paramedics, the entire health care industry will come to a standstill and become almost non-functionary. Students pursuing Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) at + 2 level mainly aim at becoming a doctor and Students pursuing Physics, Chemistry, math (PCM) aim for Engineering.. But very few of them give attention to the paramedical field which includes professionals like Radiographer, Medical laboratory technologist, Operation Theatre Asst. , pharmacists, physiotherapists, nurses etc All these professionals support the doctor in treatment of the ever increasing number of patients, afflicted with various diseases, making health care easy and effective. It is a vast field.There are many courses available at Diploma and Certificate level at our College. The Para medical courses of Max Institute were discussed in detail in 3 parts and were made aware about the huge requirement and demand of a A Medical lab technician who handles tissue and fluid samples and analyses them. Besides this, there are some other specialised fields in which training is been given to technicians including Radiography (imaging techniques like X-ray, MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Mammography etc.). We take this opportunity to thank everyone, all the team members for all the hard work put together to make this function this successful.
